استقبل سماحة السيد عمار الحكيم   سعادة السفير السويسري دانييل هون، وتبادل وجهات النظر حول العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين والشعبين الصديقين، ودعا إلى تطويرها في جميع المجالات، فيما شدد على انفتاح العراق على الجميع بما يخدم المصالح ويحفظ سيادة البلاد.
أشار أيضًا إلى طبيعة الاستقرار المتحقق في العراق، وقلنا إنه نتاج التضحيات الجسام التي قدمها الشعب العراقي من جميع المكونات، وبيّن أن الاستقرار له أبعاد عدة؛ سياسية واجتماعية وأمنية.
بشأن تطورات الأحداث في سوريا والمنطقة، أكد أهمية استقرار سوريا وحفظ تنوعها الديمغرافي، كما شدد على ضرورة استقرار المنطقة بشكل عام وإعادة إعمار المدن المدمرة في بعض دولها، لاسيما فلسطين ولبنان، وإعادة النازحين واستعادة الحياة بشكلها الطبيعي

.We received His Excellency Swiss Ambassador Daniel Hunn in our office, where we exchanged views on the strong bilateral ties between our two friendly countries and peoples. We called for further development of these relations across all sectors, while emphasizing Iraq's openness to all, in a manner that safeguards both national interests and sovereignty.We also pointed to the stability achieved in Iraq, which we believe is the outcome of the immense sacrifices made by the Iraqi people from all walks of life. We highlighted that stability encompasses political, social, and security dimensions.On the situation in Syria and the broader region, we underscored the importance of Syria's stability and the preservation of its demographic diversity. Additionally, we stressed the need for overall regional stability, the reconstruction of cities devastated by conflict, particularly in Palestine and Lebanon, and the safe return of displaced populations to restore life to its normal state.
