استقبلنا فخامة رئيس الجمهورية، الدكتور عبد اللطيف جمال رشيد، حيث تناول اللقاء ملفات الاستحقاقات القادمة، والمشهد السياسي العام، وتطورات المنطقة.وقد اتفقت الرؤى على أهمية الانتخابات المقبلة، وضرورة أن يكون التنافس فيها قائمًا على أساس البرامج الخدمية والتنموية.دعونا إلى حل الإشكاليات العالقة بين الحكومة الاتحادية وحكومة الإقليم عبر الدستور، وتغليب المصلحة العامة، وتحقيق معادلة متوازنة بين الحقوق والواجبات، كما أكدنا على أهمية تنويع مصادر الدخل، وتنشيط القطاعات الإنتاجية، وإعداد خطط واقعية للخروج من نموذج الدولة الريعية أحادية المورد.وأشرنا إلى أن الانتخابات القادمة ستكون مفصلية ومصيرية، لما لها من دور كبير في الانتقال من حالة الاستقرار الهش إلى الاستقرار المستدام، الذي من شأنه أن يُعزز التنمية ويحقق الرضا الشعبي.وفي ما يخص تطورات المنطقة، أكدنا وفخامته على أهمية استمرار الحوارات، وتغليب المصالح العامة، وتجنب مزيد من التصعيد، ودعونا جميع دول المنطقة إلى الإسهام الفاعل في التهدئة، بما يضمن لشعوبها الأمن والاستقرار.أما في ملف المياه، فقد دعونا إلى تفعيل الاتفاقات المشتركة بين العراق و الجارة تركيا بشأن الحصص المائية، وشددنا على ضرورة اعتماد برامج لترشيد الاستهلاك، وتعظيم الإنتاج، والاستفادة من تجارب الدول الأخرى في هذا المجال.

This evening, we welcomed the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid. Our discussion focused on upcoming national entitlements, the broader political landscape, and recent regional developments.There was mutual agreement on the significance of the upcoming elections and the necessity of ensuring that electoral competition is grounded in service-oriented and developmental platforms.We underscored the need to resolve outstanding issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government in accordance with the constitution, emphasizing the primacy of public interest and the importance of achieving a balanced framework between rights and responsibilities. We also highlighted the urgency of diversifying income sources, revitalizing productive sectors, and formulating practical strategies to transition away from the rentier state model reliant on a single resource.We stressed that the forthcoming elections will be a critical turning point, with the potential to shift the country from a state of fragile stability to one of lasting security—thereby fostering development and meeting public aspirations.On regional matters, both we and the President reaffirmed the importance of continued dialogue, prioritizing shared interests, and avoiding any further escalation. We called on all countries in the region to play a constructive role in de-escalation efforts to ensure security and stability for their populations.Regarding the water dossier, we urged the activation of joint agreements between Iraq and neighboring Turkey concerning water allocations. We also emphasized the importance of adopting efficient consumption practices, increasing production, and drawing on international experiences to improve water management.
