التقى سماحة السيد عمار الحكيم سفير دولة الكويت الشقيقة، سعادةَ الأستاذ حسن محمد الزمان

العلاقاتُ الثنائيةُ بين البلدين وتطوراتُ المشهد السياسي الإقليمي كانت من أهمّ الملفات التي بحثناها مع سفير دولة الكويت الشقيقة، سعادةَ الأستاذ حسن محمد الزمان، وبيّنّا أن العراق يعتمد سياسةَ الانفتاح في علاقاته الإقليمية والدولية.أشرنا أيضًا إلى حرص العراق على إقامة أفضل العلاقات مع شركائه وأصدقائه، انطلاقًا من مصالحه الوطنية وثوابت الاحترام المتبادل وحسن الجوار، وأوضحنا أن الشعب العراقي عانى لعقود طويلة من الاضطهاد والحكم الدكتاتوري، وهو اليوم يرغب بحياة كريمة وعيش رغيد، ولن يعود إلى المربّعات الأولى، وقلنا إن معاناة الشعب العراقي من المظلومية جعلته يستشعر مظلومية الآخرين، ويتعاطف ويتضامن مع المظلومين، ويطالب بالدفاع عن حقوقهم.كما أكدنا أن الانتخابات القادمة مهمة ومفصلية، كونها ستؤسّس للاستقرار المستدام، وتمثل تعزيزًا إضافيًا للنظام السياسي والديمقراطي في العراق، وجددنا دعوتنا لأبناء شعبنا للمشاركة الواسعة والفاعلة والواعية، واختيار الأصلح في القائمة الصالحة.

We discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and developments in the regional political scene with the newly appointed Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, His Excellency Hassan Mohammed Al_Zaman. We underscored that Iraq follows a policy of openness in its regional and international engagements. We also highlighted Iraq’s commitment to building strong relations with its partners and friends, grounded in national interests, mutual respect, and the principles of good neighborliness. We illustrated that the Iraqi people have endured decades of oppression and dictatorship, and today they seek a dignified and prosperous life, with no return to the hardships of the past. We noted that this history of injustice has made the Iraqi people more attuned to the suffering of others, encouraging empathy, solidarity with the oppressed, and advocacy for their rights. We further stressed that the upcoming elections are crucial and defining, as they will pave the way for lasting stability and further strengthen Iraq’s political and democratic system. We once again urged our citizens to take part in a broad, active, and informed manner, and to elect the most capable from the most qualified list.
