التقينا  السيّد بشدار حسن، رئيسَ معهدِ الحقوق الدولي، واستمعنا منه ومن الوفد المرافق له إلى جهود المعهد في دعم المسار الحقوقي والقضايا العادلة للعراق.أكدنا أهمية تبنّي القضايا العراقية أمام المحاكم الدولية واسترداد الحقوق، ولا سيّما تلك المتعلّقة بالنظام السابق وما ترتّب على العراق بسبب سياساته الهوجاء.أشرنا أيضًا إلى طبيعة الانتخابات القادمة وأهميتها باعتبارها حدًّا فاصلًا بين الاستقرار الهشّ والاستقرار المستدام، كما دعونا إلى التنافس على أساس البرامج وتحقيق الأمن الانتخابي للجميعThis evening, we met with Mr. Bashdar Hassan, head of the Institute of International Law, and listened to him and his accompanying delegation regarding the Institute’s role in supporting Iraq’s legal path and championing its just causes. We stressed the importance of pursuing Iraqi cases before international courts and reclaiming rights, particularly those connected to the former regime and the burdens Iraq has shouldered due to its reckless policies. We also highlighted the nature and importance of the upcoming elections as a decisive turning point from fragile stability to lasting stability, calling for program-based competition and the safeguarding of electoral security for all.
