التقينا سعادة السفير الإيطالي نيكولو فونتانا، وأكدنا أهمية العلاقات بين العراق وإيطاليا وضرورة تعزيزها واستثمارها في المجالات الاقتصادية والثقافية والتعليمية والسياحية.وبيّنا حالة الاستقرار غير المسبوقة التي يعيشها العراق حاليًا، والتي تحققت بفضل وقفة وتضحيات العراقيين من مختلف المكوّنات، وبدعم الأصدقاء، مؤكدين ضرورة العمل على ديمومة هذا الاستقرار لما له من أثر إيجابي في استقرار المنطقة والعالم.كما أشرنا إلى أهمية المشاركة الواسعة والفاعلة والواعية في الانتخابات المقبلة، باعتبارها محطة مفصلية في مرحلة مهمة من تاريخ العراق والمنطقة، وستؤسس للمرحلة القادمة، وشددنا كذلك على ضرورة تحقيق الأمن الانتخابي وضمان حق الناخب والمرشّح في ممارسة العملية الانتخابية الديمقراطية.
We met with Italian Ambassador H.E.Niccolò Fontana and stressed the importance of advancing Iraq–Italy relations and leveraging them across economic, cultural, educational, and tourism sectors. We noted Iraq’s unprecedented stability, achieved through the sacrifices and solidarity of its people from all communities, with support from friends, and emphasized the need to preserve this stability for its positive impact on both regional and global security. We also highlighted the significance of broad, active, and informed participation in the upcoming elections, describing them as a defining moment in a critical chapter of Iraq’s and the region’s history that will lay the future’s foundation. Additionally, we underscored the importance of ensuring electoral security and protecting the rights of voters and candidates to participate freely in a democratic electoral process.
