التقينا صباح اليوم سعادة السفير الفرنسي لدى العراق، السيد باتريك دوريل، وبحثنا مع سعادته سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين العراق وفرنسا، بما يخدم مصالح البلدين والشعبين الصديقين.شددنا على أهمية الحفاظ على سيادة العراق والدفاع عن مصالحه الوطنية، ودعم المسارات الحكومية الرامية إلى تحقيق ذلك.كما أشرنا إلى أن العراق، ممثَّلًا بالحكومة والقوى السياسية، بذل جهدًا حثيثًا لإبعاد الخطر عن أراضيه، والنأي به عن أجواء التصعيد الخطير في المنطقة، وجدّدنا في هذا السياق رفضنا وإدانتنا للاعتداءات الإسرائيلية على الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية ولبنان وفلسطين.وأكدنا مجددًا أن العراق يشهد حالة من الاستقرار الأمني والسياسي والاجتماعي، ويسعى جاهدًا للوصول إلى استقرار مستدام يُحقق تطلعات شعبه التي طال انتظارها.وبيّنا أن الانتخابات القادمة ستُسهم في ترسيخ الديمقراطية وتعزيز الاستقرار العام، وهي مفصلية ومهمة، وتمثّل مرحلة تأسيس جديدة، وفي هذا السياق دعونا أبناء شعبنا العراقي إلى المشاركة الواسعة، الفاعلة، والواعية فيها.

We met this morning with the French Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Patrick Durel, and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and France in a manner that serves the interests of both nations and their peoples. We underscored the importance of upholding Iraq’s sovereignty, protecting its national interests, and supporting the government's efforts aimed at achieving these goals. We highlighted Iraq’s active role, through its government and political powers, in working to shield its territory from regional threats and avoid further escalation in the region. In this context, we reiterated our firm rejection and condemnation of the Israeli attacks targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine. We reaffirmed that Iraq is witnessing a period of political, security, and social stability and is striving to establish lasting stability that meets the long-awaited hopes of its people. We stressed that the upcoming elections represent a key step toward reinforcing democratic practice and strengthening national stability. They are of critical importance and mark a new foundational phase, and we called on the Iraqi people to engage widely, actively, and well informed.
