التقينا صباح اليوم مستشار الأمن القومي العراقي، معالي الأستاذ السيد قاسم الأعرجي، وبحثنا معه الواقع الأمني وسبل تطوير المنظومة الأمنية لمواجهة التحديات، كما استمعنا إلى نتائج زيارته الأخيرة إلى إقليم كردستان، حيث أكدنا أهمية الحوار لحل الإشكالات العالقة وفقًا للدستور والقوانين والمصلحة العامة.أكدنا أن الاستقرار الأمني يُعدّ عاملًا أساسيًا في تحقيق الاستقرار الاجتماعي والاقتصادي، وشددنا على ضرورة اعتماد الأنظمة الحديثة في العمل الأمني، إلى جانب إدامة العمل الاستخباري وتطويره.كما أشرنا إلى أن الانتخابات القادمة تمثل محطة مصيرية في تعزيز الاستقرار، والانتقال به من مرحلة الاستقرار الهش إلى الاستقرار المستدام، وفي هذا السياق، شددنا على أهمية الأمن الانتخابي، وضرورة توفير فرص عادلة ومتساوية لجميع الكتل والمرشحين.وجددنا الإشادة بخطوة حزب العمال الكردستاني المتمثلة في إلقاء السلاح والانخراط في المسار السياسي، وختمنا بدعوة إلى استثمار الفرص المتاحة لتعزيز أمن العراق وحماية سيادته.

This morning, we met with Iraq’s National Security Advisor, H.E. Sayyid Qasim Al-Araji, to discuss the current security landscape and explore ways to strengthen the security system in response to emerging challenges. We also reviewed the outcomes of his recent visit to the Kurdistan Region, where we emphasized the importance of resolving outstanding issues through dialogue, in line with the constitution, relevant laws, and the national interest.We reaffirmed that security stability is a cornerstone for achieving both social and economic progress, stressing the need to incorporate modern technologies and systems into security operations, while also maintaining and advancing intelligence work.We highlighted that the upcoming elections represent a critical turning point in advancing from fragile stability to long-term stability. In this regard, we underscored the significance of electoral security and the need to ensure fair and equal opportunities for all political parties and candidates.Additionally, we welcomed the Kurdish Workers’ Party’s decision to disarm and engage in the political process. We concluded by calling for the effective use of current opportunities to enhance Iraq’s security and uphold its sovereignty.
