سماحة السيد الحكيم يؤكد للسفير اللبناني وقوف العراق مع أشقائه

أكد رئيس تحالف قوى الدولة الوطنية سماحة السيد الحكيم، حلال لقائه بسعادة سفير الجمهورية اللبنانية الجديد لدى العراق السيد خليل عبد الله محمد، وقوف العراق مع أشقائه.

ورحب سماحته بسعادة السفير، متمنيا له ولبعثة بلاده التوفيق في مهامهم، مؤكدا عمق العلاقة التي تجمع البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين، ومبينا أن العراق، حكومة وشعبا وفعاليات اجتماعية وسياسية، يقف داعما للبنان وشعبه.

وجدد سماحته إدانته للهجمات والقصف المتكرر على لبنان، داعيا المجتمع الدولي إلى تحمل مسؤولياته في إيقاف هذا الاستهداف، ومشددا على أهمية إعادة النازحين وإعمار المدن والبلدات المتضررة، ومؤكدا أن العراق يقف مع أشقائه ويسعى لتطوير العلاقات الثنائية في مختلف المجالات.

كما دعا سماحته إلى تنسيق المواقف تجاه القضايا الاستراتيجية، مشددا على ضرورة مواجهة الفكر المتطرف وضرب الخلايا الإرهابية النائمة أينما وجدت، بما يعزز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.

His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received in His office in Baghdad, His Excellency the newly appointed Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to Iraq, Mr. Khaleel Abdullah Mohammed.

His Eminence extended a warm welcome to His Excellency, wishing him and the Lebanese diplomatic mission success in carrying out their duties, and affirmed the deep-rooted ties between the two brotherly nations and peoples, stressing that Iraq—its government, people, and social and political powers—continues to stand firmly in support of Lebanon and its people.

His Eminence reiterated His condemnation of the ongoing attacks and shelling targeting Lebanon, urging the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in bringing these violations to an end, while underscoring the importance of ensuring the return of the displaced and rebuilding the affected cities and towns.

His Eminence also reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to standing with its brothers and to strengthening bilateral relations in all fields, H.E. called for closer coordination on strategic issues, emphasizing the necessity of confronting extremist ideologies and eliminating dormant terrorist cells wherever they exist, in order to reinstate stability and security in the region.
