استقبل سماحة السيد الحكيم، رئيس تحالف قوى الدولة الوطنية، في مكتبه ببغداد، سعادة السفير التركي لدى العراق، السيد أنيل بورا إينان، وبحث معه مستجدات الأوضاع في المنطقة ودور دولها في خفض التصعيد واستعادة الاستقرار، فيما تناول الجانبان العلاقات الثنائية وسبل تطويرها عبر استثمار المشتركات والفرص الواعدة بين البلدين.
وجدد سماحته دعوته إلى إنهاء الصراع الدائر في المنطقة واستعادة الاستقرار، عادًّا الحوار السبيل الأمثل لتحقيق ذلك، مبينًا أن العراق من بين الدول الأكثر تضررًا من هذه الأزمة، نتيجة تراجع إنتاجه وصادراته النفطية التي تمثل الجزء الأكبر من موازنته، معربًا عن أمله بانتهاء قريب لهذه الأزمة، كونها تؤثر في الاقتصاد العالمي، وأن تضطلع دول المنطقة بدور أكبر لتحقيق التهدئة واستعادة الاستقرار.
وشدد سماحته على أهمية استثمار الفرص الواعدة بين بغداد وأنقرة، عادًّا طريق التنمية أحد أهم هذه الفرص، لما يمثله من أهمية في تحويل العراق إلى محطة للتواصل بين الشرق والغرب، لافتًا إلى أهمية منح العراق حصة عادلة من المياه.
وأكد السيد الحكيم مضي العراق في مشروع حصر السلاح بيد الدولة عبر الحوار والتفاهم، مشددًا على أهمية الالتزام بالدستور الذي ينص على أن العراق لن يكون ممرًا أو مقرًا أو منطلقًا لتهديد دول الجوار، كما شدد على ضرورة احترام سيادة العراق وسعيه إلى الانفتاح على الجميع.
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received in his office in Baghdad His Excellency the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Anil Bora Inan, and discussed with him the latest developments in the region and the role of regional states in de-escalating tensions and restoring stability. The two sides also addressed bilateral relations and ways to develop them by leveraging shared interests and promising opportunities between the two countries.
H.E. reiterated his call to end the ongoing conflict in the region and restore stability, considering dialogue the optimal path to achieving this, noting that Iraq is among the countries most affected by this crisis due to the decline in its oil production and exports, which represent the largest share of its budget, expressing hope for a swift end to this crisis given its impact on the global economy, and calling for regional states to play a greater role in achieving de-escalation and restoring stability.
H.E. stressed the importance of investing in the promising opportunities between Baghdad and Ankara, considering the Development Road one of the most important of these opportunities given its significance in transforming Iraq into a hub for connectivity between East and West, and pointed to the importance of granting Iraq a fair share of water.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem affirmed that Iraq is moving forward with the project to consolidate arms under state authority through dialogue and understanding, stressing the importance of adhering to the Constitution, which stipulates that Iraq will not be a corridor, base, or launching point for threatening neighboring states, while also stressing the need to respect Iraq’s sovereignty and its pursuit of openness to all.
