استقبل سماحة السيد الحكيم، رئيس تحالف قوى الدولة الوطنية، نائب رئيس مجلس النواب السيد فرهاد الأتروشي، وعددا من نواب الحزب الديمقراطي الكردستاني، بحضور نواب عن تحالف قوى الدولة الوطنية.
وتناول اللقاء الاستحقاقات القادمة وسُبُل تفعيل عمل مجلس النواب على الصعيدين الرقابي والتشريعي، إذ شدد سماحته على أهمية أن يكون الفصل التشريعي القادم فصلاً فاعلاً في تشريع القوانين ومراقبة الأداء الحكومي.
وجدّد سماحته دعوته إلى استكمال الكابينة الوزارية، مبيناً أن ذلك يعزز مكانة العراق ويمنح الحكومة المساحة الكافية للعمل وتحقيق الإصلاحات ومكافحة الفساد.
وأوضح سماحته طبيعة التحديات الراهنة، مشيراً إلى أن الأزمة الاقتصادية وشُحَّ السيولة المالية تمثّلان أبرز التحديات التي تواجه البلاد، مما يستوجب تضافر جهود الجميع من قوى سياسية وسلطات تنفيذية وتشريعية لتمكين العراق من تجاوز هذه المرحلة، مؤكداً أن العراق بلدٌ غني بالإمكانات التي تحتاج إلى تفعيل وحُسن إدارة.
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received Mr. Farhad Al-Atroushi, Deputy Speaker, and several Kurdistan Democratic Party MPs, in the presence of MPs from the National State Powers' Alliance.
The meeting addressed upcoming milestones and ways to activate Parliament's work on both the oversight and legislative levels, as H.E. stressed the importance of making the upcoming legislative term an effective one in legislating laws and overseeing government performance.
H.E. reaffirmed his call for completing the ministerial cabinet, noting that this strengthens Iraq's standing and gives the government sufficient scope to work and achieve reforms and combat corruption.
H.E. explained the nature of the current challenges, noting that the economic crisis and the shortage of financial liquidity represent the most prominent challenges facing the country, which requires the combined efforts of all political powers and executive and legislative authorities to enable Iraq to overcome this current phase, affirming that Iraq is a country rich in potential that needs to be activated and well managed.
