استقبل سماحة السيد الحكيم رئيس تحالف قوى الدولة الوطنية في مكتبه ببغداد، وفداً أوروبياً رفيع المستوى، ضم عدداً من أعضاء مجالس النواب في دول متعددة، فضلاً عن إعلاميين وناشطين متخصصين في شؤون المكونات.
وضم الوفد كلاً من السيد سيورور سكاله، سياسي وكاتب وصحفي من جزر فارو التابعة لمملكة الدنمارك، والدكتور كيم هارتزنر، طبيب دنماركي، والسيد نيلز بيركيموزه، صحفي وإعلامي دنماركي وناشط في المجال الإنساني، والسيد بيرغير ثورنسون، سياسي آيسلندي وعضو سابق في مجلس الشعب.
كما ضم الوفد السيد غسان فؤاد ساكا، ناشط مجتمعي وإعلامي عراقي-كندي، والسيد شوان صباح، المدير التنفيذي لمنظمة ريزان للتنمية في العراق.
وجرى خلال اللقاء استعراض واقع المكونات في العراق وتمثيلها السياسي والاجتماعي، حيث أكد سماحته أن المكونات العراقية تُشكّل إثراءً حقيقياً للثقافة الوطنية، ولا تُقاس بعددها بل بأثرها ودورها في المجتمع.
وشدد سماحة السيد الحكيم على أن العراق هو عراق التنوع وقوته في تنوعه، داعياً إلى إدارة هذا التنوع بحكمة من خلال تحويل المكونات العراقية إلى جسور تواصل حضاري تربط العراق بمحيطه الإقليمي والدولي.
وفي ختام اللقاء، جدّد سماحته الدعوة إلى إغلاق ملف النازحين وتهيئة الظروف المناسبة لعودتهم إلى مدنهم وقراهم.
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received at his office in Baghdad a high-level European delegation comprising a number of members of parliament from several countries, alongside journalists and activists specializing in the affairs of Iraq's components.
The delegation included Mr. Sjúrður Skaale, a politician, writer, and journalist from the Faroe Islands of the Kingdom of Denmark; Dr. Kim Hartzner, a Danish Doctor; Mr. Niels Birkemose, a Danish journalist, media figure, and humanitarian activist; and Mr. Bergur Thorinson, an Icelandic politician and former member of the national parliament.
The delegation also included Mr. Ghassan Fouad Saka, an Iraqi-Canadian community and media activist, and Mr. Shwan Sabah, Executive Director of the Rêzan Development Organization in Iraq.
The meeting reviewed the status of Iraq's components and their political and social representation. H.E. affirmed that Iraq's components constitute a genuine enrichment of the national culture, and are not measured by their numbers but by their impact and role in society.
H.E. Sayyid Al-Hakeem stressed that Iraq is a country of diversity and that its strength lies in that diversity, calling for the management of this diversity with wisdom by transforming Iraq's components into bridges of civilizational communication linking Iraq to its regional and international surroundings.
At the conclusion of the meeting, H.E. renewed the call to close the file of displaced persons and to create the appropriate conditions for their return to their cities and villages.
