His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received a delegation from the International Crisis Group and discussed with them the latest developments in the political, economic, and security situation in Iraq and the region, regarding the end of the mission of the International Coalition to Combat ISIS in Iraq, achieved through dialogue and understanding, as a message of recovery for the Iraqi situation and an international recognition of it.
H.E. affirmed that Iraq faces a security challenge following the end of the mission of the International Coalition, which requires full readiness and confronting any threat that may enable terrorism to reproduce itself, in addition to the need to send messages of reassurance among the Iraqi components, unify ranks, and reject any racist or sectarian discourse.
H.E. stressed proceeding with addressing the issue of weapons outside the framework of the state according to the agreed timelines, on the basis that the treatment covers any weapon to which the description "outside the framework of the state" applies.

On the economic front, H.E. said that Iraq has been directly affected by regional events due to the decline in oil production and the disruption of its regular export, stressing the need to capitalize on the lessons of this crisis by diversifying the economy and freeing it from the rentier state model, diversifying oil export outlets through a pipeline network toward the Red and Mediterranean Seas, and targeting new markets and consumers for Iraqi oil, thereby strengthening economic partnerships between Iraq and countries around the world.
