واقع المكونات وأثرها في إثراء المجتمع، وأهمية التنوع والتعدد، كانت من أبرز الملفات التي بحثناها مع الشيخ ستار الحلو، رئيس طائفة الصابئة المندائية في العراق والعالم، حيث أكدنا أهمية هذه الطائفة في المجتمع العراقي، ودورها في إثراء الثقافة والعلوم من خلال رموزها وشخصياتها وعلمائها.جددنا دعوتنا للانتقال من مرحلة التعايش السلمي بين المكونات إلى مرحلة التعايش الإيجابي والتكامل الحقيقي، وقلنا إن إدارة التنوع تمنح العراق مساحة أوسع للتأثير إقليميًا ودوليًا، من خلال تجسير العلاقات مع دول المنطقة والعالم عبر مكوناته المتنوعة.أكدنا أيضًا ضرورة حفظ التمثيل السياسي للمكونات، وشددنا على أهمية أن يكون هذا التمثيل معبرًا عن الواقع الاجتماعي لها، كما أوضحنا طبيعة الانتخابات المقبلة وأثرها في تحقيق التنمية والاستقرار المستدام.We met with Sheikh Sattar Al-Hilu, Head of the Mandaean Sabian community in Iraq and worldwide, to discuss the role of diverse communities in enriching society and the importance of embracing pluralism. We highlighted the valuable contributions of the Mandaean community to Iraqi society, particularly in the fields of culture and science through its distinguished figures, scholars, and intellectuals.We reiterated our call to move from mere peaceful coexistence to a phase of positive engagement and genuine societal integration. We affirmed that embracing and managing diversity strengthens Iraq’s position on both the regional and international stage by fostering deeper ties with neighboring and global communities through its rich mosaic of components.We also stressed the importance of safeguarding political representation for all communities, emphasizing that such representation must accurately reflect their social realities. Lastly, we outlined the significance of the upcoming elections and their potential to promote lasting development and stability.
