بحثنا مع نيافة البطريرك مار لويس روفائيل الأول ساكو، بطريرك الكلدان الكاثوليك في العراق والعالم، ملفات إدارة التنوع في العراق، وحقوق المكونات، واستحقاقها، وتمثيلها السياسي.وأكدنا خلال اللقاء على أهمية التنوع في العراق بوصفه مصدر إثراء وعنصر قوة للمجتمع العراقي، داعين إلى الانتقال من مرحلة التعايش السلمي إلى التعايش الإيجابي، الفاعل، والمتكامل بين المكونات العراقية.
كما شددنا في الوقت نفسه على ضرورة توحيد المواقف في مواجهة التحديات، داعين إلى استثمار الفرص، خاصة في الاستحقاقات المقبلة، والمشاركة الواعية والفاعلة في الانتخابات القادمة، لما لها من أهمية كبيرة في ترسيخ الاستقرار وتعزيز المسار الديمقراطي في البلاد.

We met with His Beatitude Patriarch Mar Louis Raphaël I Sako, Patriarch of the Chaldean Catholic Church in Iraq and worldwide, to discuss key issues related to managing diversity in Iraq, safeguarding the rights of various components, ensuring their entitlements, and securing fair political representation.We underscored the value of Iraq’s rich diversity, viewing it as a vital asset and a source of strength for the nation. We called for moving beyond peaceful coexistence toward a more positive, proactive, and integrated form of interaction among the Iraqi components.We also highlighted the importance of unified stances in the face of current challenges and stressed the need to seize opportunities—especially with upcoming national milestones—and to promote conscious, meaningful participation in the forthcoming elections, as these are crucial to strengthening stability and advancing the country’s democratic path.
