لقاء سماحة السيد عمار الحكيم وفد مبادرة (حان الوقت لنساء العراق)

حماية حقوق المرأة والحفاظ على تمثيلها السياسي وتنسيق المواقف بين المنظمات العاملة في مجال المرأة والمجلس الأعلى للمرأة، كانت أبرز النقاط التي بحثناها مع وفد مبادرة (حان الوقت لنساء العراق)، حيث شددنا على حفظ تمثيل المرأة ومنحها حقوقها الدستورية والقانونية، ففي ذلك قوة للمجتمع.دعونا أيضا لتنسيق العمل مع المجلس الأعلى للمرأة العراقية، وقلنا إن هذا المجلس يُعني بواقع المرأة وإيجاد المعالجة الفعلية لمشاكلها كما أنه يحظى بتمثيل لشخصيات نسوية تنفيذية في الحكومة العراقية.كما دعونا لتبني المنظمات العاملة في شؤون المرأة قضايا مجتمعية وآفات وظواهر مجتمعية، كما أعربنا عن أملنا بأن تتجاوز المرأة عتبة الكوتا في تمثيلها السياسي في الانتخابات القادمة، وبيّنا أن هناك تجارب نسوية ناجحة في المجال التشريعي والتنفيذي، ومن المهم تسليط الضوء عليها.

the protection of women's rights, the preservation of their political representation, and the need to coordinate efforts between organizations focused on women's affairs and the Iraqi Supreme Council for Women, were key topics of our discussion with the delegation of the "Time for Iraqi Women" initiative. Moreover, we emphasized the importance of maintaining women’s representation and ensuring their constitutional and legal rights, as this contributes to the strength of society.We also called for greater coordination with the Iraqi Supreme Council for Women, noting that the council is dedicated to addressing the realities women face and to finding practical solutions to their challenges. It also includes female executive representatives within the Iraqi government.Additionally, we encouraged women's organizations to take up broader social causes and confront harmful societal phenomena. We expressed our hope that women will exceed the quota in the upcoming elections. We stressed the importance of showcasing successful examples of female leadership in both legislative and executive roles.
